Neck Pain

Common conditions causing neck pain include osteoarthritis, cervical radiculopathy (nerve root pinching), and vertebral subluxations, such as facet joint locking. Neck pain often presents with stiffness, shoulder pain, and arm numbness or tingling.

Back pain

Lifestyle factors such as excessive sitting, core weakness, heavy lifting, smoking, and stress can contribute to pain, stiffness, and tenderness associated with back pain. Our Lake Elmo chiropractor often diagnoses conditions such as osteoarthritis, muscle spasms, spinal ligament sprains, stenosis, and scoliosis.

Headaches and Migraines

A migraine is a severe throbbing headache that often occurs with aura, a syndrome of symptoms like blurry vision, photosensitivity, and nausea. Tension headaches can also be quite debilitating and are often relieved through chiropractic adjustments which reduce strain on the muscles and joints in the head and neck area.

Disc conditions

Spinal discs are subject to both acute and chronic stress and may bulge out of place, rupture and leak (herniate), or wear down over time (degenerative disc disease).

Sciatica

This is a syndrome caused by sciatic nerve root compression, usually by an injured lumbar disc or joint. Symptoms include severe buttocks and leg pain, numbness, and weakness.

Auto Accident Injury

Whiplash is one of the most common types of auto accident injury diagnosed in our clinic. This occurs due to rapid flexion and extension of the neck, such as what can happen in a fender bender or more major car crash. Additional types of auto accident injury we treat include dashboard knee, brachial plexus strains, and shoulder dislocations. These conditions may not show up right away if pain-masking stress hormones take an increased amount of time to return to their normal levels.

Work Injury

Many injuries at work are very minor, yet some can be very severe. When an injury occurs at work, after first reporting the injury to the human resources department or supervisor, a chiropractic examination can be a great place to determine if treatment is necessary. Work injuries typically cover chiropractic for up to 12 weeks (if medically necessary)  If you have been hurt at work, please contact our office to see if you may need treatment. We will also help with your insurance claim to ease the burden during your injury.

Sports Injury

Athletes of all abilities and types are at risk for sports injury due to issues like overuse, improper rest, sports trauma, or poor fitting equipment. Our services help resolve inflammation and maximize physical performance following conditions like extremity pain, rotator cuff tears, muscle strains, tendonitis, golfer's elbow, tennis elbow, shin splints, runner's knee, and foot pain (often due to plantar fasciitis, which can be resolved with splints or orthotics).

These are some of the conditions we have worked in the past with great results! If you do not see your condition listed, please feel free to contact our office to see if we can help!
